Causes of Male and Female Sexual Dysfunction

In my view the same factors that are affecting your sexual enjoyment are the same factors that are affecting your energy levels, vitality and happiness.

The chemicals, pesticides, artificial colors, among other man substances that are put into our food messes up

our body chemistry which is linked to the central nervous system. Other factors that mess with our body chemistry include stress, lack of exercise, smoking, negative thoughts, taking prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, illegal drugs and drinking too much alcohol. All these factors affect your physical, mental and spiritual well being negatively.

Our body chemistry and central nervous responses are impaired by these factors, including those of the brain and endocrine glands. The brain and the endocrine glands are involved with our sexual processes. The endocrine system also regulates other body processes to include, reproduction, growth, metabolic and food break down and absorption.

Stress can interfere with our ability to become aroused or to achieve full sexual satisfaction. Illegal and prescription drug use lowers libido and stresses adrenal glands, creating lower energy levels. Stress also affects sperm production negatively.

Smoking cigarettes and marijuana constricts blood vessels, impairing circulation and makes achieving prolong erection more difficult.

For woman another sexual part of that body chemistry is your estrogen. Estrogen is a hormone produced by the ovaries. It stimulates the development of sexual characteristics and induces menstruation. Estrogen is important for the maintenance of normal brain function and development of nerve cells. For man other sexual parts of that body chemistry is testosterone, a hormone that promotes the development and maintenance of male sex characteristics and the gonads, a gland of the endocrine system that makes sex cells. All three are negatively affected by the factors mentioned in this article.

Exercise reduces tension, depression and anxiety. Exercise increases self esteem, positive attitude, our capacity for joy, vitality, energy and libido. During exercise endorphins, feel good hormones are produced increasing arousal and orgasm intensity.     FSD or Female Sexual Dysfunction is a multi-faceted condition which involves components related to physiology, psychology, emotional aspects, spouse issues and social factors. There are many treatment which are recommended, but one should seek doctors advice.
