As we have been discovering, there is an intimate interplay between Sex & Fitness. For some it is the Sex that inspires playful self-discovery and body awareness in the area of their health and for others it is Fitness that inspires playful self-discovery and body awareness in their Sexuality. A healthy body and intimate communion with another are some of the greatest joys on this earth. Be conscious of what you put in your mouth and become aware of your body’s sexuality now. The Positivity Blog is another great blog that tells readers that a positive outlook is imperative when looking to achieve anything.

The blog’s posts are known to begin with inspiring quotes from the world’s great thinkers. Online since 2006, the blog edited and written by Henrik Edberg, boasts about 3.6 million visitors and it has 15500+ subscribers (as of July 2009) So they TPB must be doing something right.

Is addiction a part of life? Is conquering our addictions part of our growth process? It seems as though every human has at least one addiction. Addictions, to include food, sex, self improvement, alcohol, cigarettes, over the counter and prescription drugs, gambling, to name a few are such a common thing that I wonder if it is part of our growing process to conquer them. Or is all about the food we put in our bodies?

In my research I have always been intrigued by the connection to serotonin levels in the brain and addiction. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter ( ++++ ) responsible for communicating the various needs of the body between the brain cells and the peripheral ( ++++ ) cells of the nervous system. Serotonin is one of the major neurotransmitters that affects mood. (more…)

When it comes to sex, the first place everyone’s mind inevitably goes is the association with physical pleasure… and there is nothing wrong with that. But, here at fit and sexed, we would like to show you how being fit and getting sexed can go hand in hand. Sex can be a workout in itself. Depending on the position you assume during a session of intercourse, you can actually target a given muscle-set and get in a decent workout.

As an example, for men, in the missionary position the amount of stress put on the abs can be equivalent to an abdominal workout in the gym. Other than that, the standing wheelbarrow position can be an excellent way to flex and work the back muscles.

For women, on the other hand, being on top of a partner, in the seated position and leaning back to rest on the hands, can offer an abdominal workout comparable to the workout a man would get in the missionary position. (more…)
